K-FORCE project promoted at international specialist and scientific conference on assessment, maintenance and rehabilitation of structures and settlements

The 10th International Specialist anf Scientific Conference “Assessment, Maintenance and Rehabilitation of Structures and Settlements“, organized by the Association of Civil Engineers of Serbia, was held from 14 to 16 June 2017 in Vršac, Serbia.

More than 80 experts, mostly from Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Romania, Macedonia and Montenegro, from the field of civil engineers, architects, spatial planners, economists and other professionals working in the areas associated with assessment, maintenance and rehabilitation of various types of structures and settlements, attended the Conference and promoted the exchange of experience, research results and other professional achievements.

At first plenary session, on behalf of K-FORCE project team, PhD Mirjana Laban presented an invited lecture BUILDING SOCIETAL RESILIENCE TO HAZARDS THROUGH IMPROVING CAPACITY IN HIGHER EDUCATION, about ERASMUS+ project Knowledge FOr Resilient soCiEty and invited experts from the field to participate in project activities. Attendees were informed about the motivation behind the project, its aims and objectives and project progress, as well as about the benefits that K-FORCE project will provide for Western Balkan Society.
